This place is underrated!! I love their Nina cookie. If you havent tried it, it is absolutely delicious. My favorite cookie in East Bay. I honestly don't love all their products.... but 5 stars to the Nina cookie! I wish it was always available but sometimes when I come it is out of stock.

Quality/Quantity - I attended an event today and wanted to bring desserts from the Alameda's best bakeries; see Crispian Yelp Review also. Today we chose the Lemon Tart $33, 4 stars - Sorry, this was second place compared to the Stone Fruit Pie from Crispian. My daughter actually wanted the pear and almond tart as she felt that would taste better, but we settled on the Lemon Tart as the presentation was better. Also got my daughter a snack. Raspberry & Pistachio Croissant $5.25 - This was 5 stars! She said it was so good! So good that she did NOT even offer to share. What happened to her manners? I know she is going to read this. LOL. Atmosphere - Inside our local Alameda Marketplace. Plenty of shared mall parking. Open 7 days a week from 8am to 7pm. If you want a guarantee on your favorite items, come early. Service - Good. Fairly long line today (3-4) people ahead of us; but it moved quickly. Thank you. Price - $38.25; expensive but that is the price for quality. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2004 and with your two locations.

My friend brought us some treats from this bakery. Profiterole- kids liked this mango-good mango flavor, not overly sweet pear-the mango was better fruit tart-5/5 this is the winner. Fruit, custard, chocolate layered crust was all very good. strawberry bagatelle-this is like a shortcake.
